Show Me State Storytelling

About Me!

I’m a lifelong Missourian…except for the first six months of my life spent as an Army brat in Fort Hood, Texas. I’m a proud graduate of Nerinx Hall High School in Webster Groves and Truman State University, where I received a B.A. in History. I have dedicated my career to working for and with Missourians as a Program Director with Missouri Humanities, when I discovered my passion for Missouri communities. With Missouri Humanities, I implement public programming, produce digital projects, and host multiple podcasts, interviewing authors, educators, community leaders, and more. I have traveled all over the state, in all its nooks and crannies, and I’m always inspired by the passionate people and unique places that make Missouri so special.

I’ve contributed to several publications writing about Missouri history and cultural heritage, have been featured on the “Our Missouri Podcast” from the State Historical Society of Missouri and on multiple radio shows, including “St. Louis in the Know” with Ray Hartmann, and has spoken to groups and at both state and national conferences . I currently live in South St. Louis County with my husband, Zach, two children, Eli and Flora, two dogs, two cats, four chickens, but no partridge or pear tree. I love to cook and eat out at new places, be with friends, spend time outside with my family…and I don’t have time for much else!
